Vernon is an experienced professional banker with over 25 years of professional hands-on banking experience, both on the consumer and the commercial side. Vernon previously worked with The First National Bank of Olathe for 17 years prior to the acquisition by Enterprise Bank & Trust. Some of his prior duties involved collections, bankruptcies, foreclosures, repossessions, and liquidations on the consumer and commercial side.

Vernon is a graduate of Emporia State University, where he played basketball, earning a B.S. degree in education with a minor in health education. Vernon is an active member of the Olathe, Kansas community and works with the youth of Olathe in basketball and football as a coach and instructor/mentor for disadvantaged and troubled youth.
