‘Enterprise Games’ Brings Competition for a Cause to Kansas City
The stakes were never higher for a steady hand to place a wood block on top of a Jenga® tower than when it meant winning $25,000 for a local nonprofit.
This was the case at the second annual fundraising competition benefiting Kansas City nonprofits: Enterprise Games, presented by Enterprise University.
The September 2024 event in Overland Park, Kansas, hosted 18 teams from businesses across Kansas City. They competed in outdoor games on behalf of their chosen nonprofit.
Through their participation, the corporate teams helped raise $60,000. In addition to the top three prizes and a spirit award, all of the nonprofits represented received a donation.
“Enterprise Games has been an incredible opportunity for Newhouse to connect with business leaders around the metro through a fun competition with fellow nonprofit partners,” says Christopher Stibbs, Chief Development Officer at Newhouse, a Kansas City nonprofit focused on ending domestic abuse through housing, healing, advocacy and education. “Partnerships like the one we have with Enterprise allow us to raise life-changing dollars for survivors of domestic violence and use the general support to fill in gaps we may have with program funding.”

After its second run, the event’s impact is evident. “We started Enterprise Games to create a unique opportunity to collectively support nonprofits that play vital roles in our community,” says Adam Kilpatrick, Kansas City Market President at Enterprise Bank & Trust. “We knew quickly that the event was going to become a tradition because of the way it brings our team, clients and partners together.”
